Hunts at Okoboji Game Farm, LLC

            As a licensed hunting preserve, our hunting season for pheasant runs from September 1 to March 31.  Hunting licenses may be purchased at the preserve.  Any one of three licenses is necessary for hunting:

Ø      Iowa resident ($29.50)

Ø      Iowa non-resident ($92.50)

Ø      Preserve license (great for non-resident who wants to only hunt preserves) ($17.50)

         Our habitat and hunting areas continue to increase, enabling larger and multiple hunting parties.  Smaller hunts will be half-day hunts, either morning or afternoon.  Larger hunts may book for the full day.  We learned that different people expect different hunts. 

Dogs

We encourage people to hunt with and share quality time with their own dogs.  If a hunter needs a guide and dogs, we have several available at a reasonable rate. 

If you wish to train your own dog, training grounds are open year round, even when public grounds are closed to dogs.  We charge a modest fee for using the grounds, and you can buy whatever birds you need.  Even if you don't hunt preserves, have your dog ready for the regular season.
